Sadie Absher

Sadie is a sophomore at UA majoring in Business with a minor in Advertising and Public Relations. Sadie is a 2025 National Champion on the UA Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team and the 2025 Rookie of the Year. She was also selected by the US State Department to participate in a sports diplomacy exchange in India where she assisted in developing their wheelchair basketball program. In 2024 she visited the US Olympic and Paralympic Training Center attending the Rocky Mountain Cup. This summer she will participate in a study abroad program in Seoul and Jeju Island in South Korea. There she will be taking two classes for her major as well as visiting advertising agencies and Korean Broadcasting Systems. In her essay Sadie wrote: “Ian approached life with a spirit of exploration that I admire. He allowed the places he visited to shape him, and I want to follow that example.” We wish Sadie a fabulous adventure this summer.
