Olivia Hurley

Olivia Hurley is a sophomore at UA majoring in Management/Human Resources. She will be participating in UA in Europe - Climate and Water and will be traveling to Italy, Slovenia, Germany and Austria for an incredible 17 day adventure this summer.  Olivia is a first generation college student and she has embraced helping others succeed in their dream of graduating college. She works multiple jobs to supplement her scholarships and grants while demonstrating outstanding leadership on campus. She is currently an RA in the dorms, a barista in a local coffee shop and a mentor for the Crimson Scholars, a campus organization that supports limited income students.  On top of that she is a peer leader for the First Experience Program, treasurer of the Crimson Yogis and Vice President of She’s the First at Bama organization. This will be her first time traveling abroad. Olivia comes from a small town and she has always dreamed of seeing the world. She is looking for experiences to challenge and broaden her perspective and she writes “at the heart of this scholarship is the chance to turn dreams into reality.”
