Jade Cartalano

Jade is a senior at UA majoring in Computer Science and simultaneously working on her MBA in International Financial Engineering. While maintaining a 4.0 GPA, Jade is on target to graduate with both her undergrad and graduate degrees in just 5 years. This summer she will be attending the UA in Oceania program in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. There she will be enrolled in a course that includes meeting with leaders in international finance along with exploring each of the countries. This will be Jade’s first time traveling outside the US. She writes that it has always been a dream of hers to study abroad but the financial constraints seemed too great. She has found a way to make this dream come true through scholarships and working multiple jobs including as the social media director for the UA Computer Science Dept. as well as working as a mentor for the Blount Scholars Program, and Tide Watch helping struggling students.
