Angel Peterson

Angel is a UA Junior majoring in Human Resource Management. This summer she will be participating in the UA in the UK program where she will have the opportunity to journey through London, Dover, Bath, and Edinburgh while taking communications courses. Angel is a very hard working young lady and a first generation college student who is super active on campus. She is a member and secretary of Alpha Kappa Alpha, vice president of Legacy Scholars and holds offices in multiple student organizations such as the Black Business Student Association and Girls Aspiring With A Purpose. Angel is a scholarship and grant recipient and works on campus as the student director of the Culverhouse First Generation Student Services. She has also turned her passion for baking into a successful business in which she caters baked goods on campus and in the community. Angel is scheduled to graduate after only 5 semesters at UA due to her advanced studies in high school. In her essay she writes that she is not daunted by unfamiliar situations but rather she views them as opportunities for self discovery and growth and she is deeply grateful to honor Ian’s memory with “an open heart, adventurous spirit and a commitment to cultural exchange.”
